[ARCHIVED] Riverside Youth Enrichment Center participating in Read for the Record

NOT NORMAN, A Goldfish Story

Jumpstart’s Read for the Record - A national event to kick off the annual campaign to raise awareness of the early literacy crisis.

The City of Palm Beach Gardens and Riverside Youth Enrichment Center have participated in Jumpstart’s Read for the Record since 2007. Each year in October, City Council Members, the City Manager, and Officials with the Fire and Police Departments join 3 million participants all over the nation who read the same book on the same day to the children in our community. The students at Riverside Youth Enrichment Center have always enjoyed this special day when one of these officials steps into their room to read to their class. In the past, the children have heard such stories as The Story of Ferdinand (2007), Corduroy (2008) and The Very Hungry Caterpillar (2009). This year we will all be reading NOT NORMAN, A Goldfish Story on Thursday, October 22! For more information or to see how you can participate in the campaign, please go to www.readfortherecord.org.
