Thanks to a pro-active Police Department, the Gardens continues to experience a declining crime rate in spite of an increase in population.

Residents also appreciate that there are no personal income taxes in the State of Florida. Also, Palm Beach Gardens does not assess many of the traditional taxes for generating revenue, instead it primarily depends on ad-valorem taxes to fund services: Police, Fire, Solid Waste and Storm Water are included in the city's municipal millage rate.
