All youth programs take place at Burns Road Community Center unless otherwise noted and highlighted.

MUSIC PROGRAMS

Guitar Programs - Students must bring their own guitar. Supply list of course materials will be available at registration.

Keyboard Programs - Students must bring their own keyboard, pencil, and notebook. A supply list for the keyboard book is available at registration. The first class of each session is a parent-only class to learn about the curriculum. Weekly assignments will be given to reinforce lessons.

ROCK THE GUITAR! ADVANCED BEGINNER-INTERMEDIATE LEVEL 

This course is designed for middle to high schoolers that have already begun to play guitar and want to improve their skills.  Topics will include tuning fundamentals, chord progressions, sounds, finding your groove, and rock styles.

KEYBOARD ABC’S

COOL KEYBOARD

MUSIC TOGETHER

An early childhood music & movement development program for children ages 0 to 5. Participants will enjoy singing, dancing, instrument play and more. Don’t forget to bring a blanket and water because we’re outdoors! All 11:45am sessions are for 0-11 months, all 11:30am sessions are for 0-18 months.

SATURDAY SING-ALONGS

Looking to get started with Music Together classes but can’t make it during the week, or commit to all 10 weeks? Saturday Sing-Alongs are just what you’re looking for. Fee is per child, no fee for adults. All 11:30am classes are for ages 0-11 months only. Please bring a blanket.

Cancelled Classes

At times,  classes are cancelled due to low enrollment. If you are interested in taking a class that has been cancelled, please email the Recreation Department or call 561-630-1100 and put your name on a list to let us know that you are interested in that class. Once we have enough people to hold the class, we will try to restart that class.

Refund Information

All refunds must be requested in writing at any of our Recreation service desks or through the Refund Request Electronic Form.

Class Cancellation/Refund Policy

Please be advised that refunds are processed when requested, less a $20 transaction fee per class/activity. Should a participant request a refund more than three days prior to the first class, they will receive a full refund less the transaction fee. If the class or program has started and the request for a refund is made before the third meeting of the activity, the refund will be prorated, less the transaction fee. Any request for a refund made after the third class is reviewed and the appropriate refund, if any, is determined by a committee. Refunds will not be given for missed classes unless accompanied by a doctor's note or unless a class is canceled by the Recreation Department.
